SALT LAKE CITY — Volunteers planted some 1,600 pink tulips in the south lawn to create a Celebration Garden in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month outside of The Leonardo in Salt Lake City on Friday.
For several years, the Susan G. Komen Utah Race for the Cure has held events on Library Square. This Celebration Garden, located on The Leonardo’s south lawn, will be completed in time for the 21st annual race in May.
The garden, which is easily accessible to the public, will serve as a beautiful display during the race by celebrating those who have battled with and survived breast cancer.
